Panel speaker at the Sydney Migrant Engineers program

The President joined the Sydney Migrant Engineers Group program 'Overseas Experience to Australian Workplace Success' as a panel speaker.

I was honoured to participate as a panel speaker at the Sydney Migrant Engineers (SME) Group program, “Overseas Experience to Australian Workplace Success.”

Alongside fellow panellists Prof Olivia Mirza, Nusrat Binte Nijam, and Ivan Sarcevic, I shared my experience and insights on how migrant engineers can successfully transfer their overseas qualifications, skills, and professional experience to the Australian workplace.

The program was exceptionally well organised and provided newly arrived migrant engineers with valuable information, practical guidance, and encouragement as they begin building their careers in Australia.

My sincere appreciation goes to the organising committee, particularly Khalid Javed, Chair of the Migrant Engineers Division at Engineers Australia, as well as Christopher, Derek, and Jonathan, for their excellent efforts in arranging this meaningful event.

Supporting migrant engineers is important not only for their individual success but also for strengthening Australia’s engineering profession and making the most of the valuable international experience they bring.
