About the Association
Who we are
The PAK-AUS Engineers Association is a voluntary, incorporated association of engineers in Australia with roots in Pakistan. It was formally launched in Sydney on 20 May 2017.
Mission
Our mission is to provide pro bono professional advice and support to projects and communities in Pakistan, to repay our debt to the motherland state.
Objectives
- A collaboration network. Create a multidisciplinary collaboration and idea-sharing network of expatriate engineers.
- Expertise where it is needed. Provide expertise and assistance from that talent pool to Pakistan’s industry, academia and professional organisations.
- Support for young professionals. Provide career support and mentoring to young Australian professionals.
- A hand for new arrivals. Provide career support and mentoring to newly arrived immigrants.
Values
The Association strictly adheres to the following values.
- Purely voluntary. No one is paid for their contribution to the Association.
- Completely impartial. Advice follows the engineering, and nothing else.
- Strictly non-partisan. The Association takes no political side.
- Open to all. Absolutely no consideration of religion, region, language, ethnicity or political affiliation.
