I had the pleasure of attending a fundraising program in support of The Fred Hollows Foundation, organised by the Pakistan Australia Association and Mr Zafar Rana.
My sincere thanks to Mr Zafar Rana for the kind invitation, and congratulations to President Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal, Senior Vice President Ashraf Chohan, and the entire PAA team for organising such a wonderful and meaningful event.
The Fred Hollows Foundation supports the very noble cause of restoring sight and preventing avoidable blindness. We were informed that its work helps facilitate approximately 20,000 cataract operations annually in Pakistan, transforming the lives of people who might otherwise remain needlessly blind.
It was inspiring to see our community come together so generously for this life-changing humanitarian cause. I wish the Foundation and the Pakistan Australia Association continued success in their valuable work.
