A dinner was hosted for the visiting Australian delegates on 8 November 2017 by the President of the PAK-AUS Engineers Association and Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Association of Australia, Mr. Insaf Ali Khan, together with the Chairman of Rabitah Magazine, Mr. Munir Mohammad. The dinner was organised at the Ramada Creek Hotel, Defence Housing Society, Karachi.
The purpose of the dinner was to introduce the members of the Australian delegation to Pakistan’s engineering, business, financial and social community. It was attended by nearly 80 people.

The evening
Mr. Abdul Razzak Lakhani was the master of ceremonies. The function started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr. Lakhani. Mr. Insaf Khan welcomed the guests and explained the purpose of the function, with a brief introduction to the PAK-AUS Engineers Association and the Pakistan Association of Australia.
Mr. Abdul Majid Yousafani, Consul General of Pakistan, explained the purpose of the delegation’s attendance at Expo 2017, followed by a speech from Mr. Abdul Aziz Uqaili. Mr. Mohammad Munir then explained the purpose of the dinner and the role of Rabitah in the Australian community, and also delivered the closing speech. Each guest was given time to introduce themselves and their business.
The event provided a chance for networking between Pakistan’s engineering, business and social community and the members of the delegation. Guests and members of the delegation highly appreciated the efforts of the PAK-AUS Engineers Association, the Pakistan Association of Australia and Rabitah Magazine in organising the function, and sent various messages of thanks to Mr. Insaf Khan and Mr. Mohammad Munir for hosting it.
